In his first trial as a private attorney, Carlus Haynes successfully defended Dr. James Zebranek who was charged with three counts of Practicing Medicine Without a License. Mr. Zebranek was found not guilty on all counts despite several eyewitnesses who testified against him.

In hearings today, Attorney Carlus Haynes, of the Office of Haynes Law, exposed the shortcomings of the E-Pass/SunPass systems. In his representation of Ms. Kimberly Vetterl, Attorney Haynes exposed inadequacies and the confusing manner which E-Pass and SunPass contracts with Central Florida toll road and Florida Turnpike users. This representation led to the dismissal of over 80 traffic citations and fines in excess of $10,000. The representations and legal theories presented by Attorney Haynes has led the Orange County Expressway Authority to re-evaluating the E-Pass contracting policy.
